It’s been a couple of months since I’ve posted on my blog! This is not the type of blog that I want to have – one where I post only from time to time.
I thought it might help to understand what I’ve been up to these days, as I feel like I’ve been more absent (although I’ve been working busily behind the scenes and behind my computer like the image demonstrates 🙂 ).
As many of you may know, I work in the healthcare field. I work two days/week at my healthcare job. I have to work a certain number of hours in order to maintain my licence to practice, plus I like being in “the know” so I can cater my health PLR packs more appropriately. I could eventually go down to one day/week, while maintaining my licence, and growing my online business.
The other three days of the work week are dedicated to my online PLR business. However, I must admit, that sometimes my business has not taken priority. My husband and I recently had the discussion that just because I’m home, does not mean that I’m available to run errands all day. For example, when I’m at my job, I certainly can’t be taking my car for an oil change on work hours. So why am I doing it during my business work hours? That was a huge realization, which has increased my productivity.
Prior to starting my online business, I have always worked close to full-time between working in healthcare and running a baby memento business and then a direct sales business. I sold the baby memento business a few years ago, and also decided that direct sales wasn’t for me.
That allowed me to focus my efforts on learning about online business, which was something I discovered by accident when looking at new ways to advertise and promote my former businesses. I come from the era of electric typewriters, so it has been quite a steep learning curve for me at times! 🙂
I am at the point in my business, however, where I have learned a lot about how online things work, and that is why I’m in the process of implementing systems to outsource more of my business. I have lots of plans (both in business and my personal life), but can’t get to everything I want to do on account of not having these systems in place yet. It is going to take me a bit of time to get things going, but I hope you will stick with me as I make these changes.
It would help me a great deal to know more about you – the great people on my list – to know what you are looking for and what you need help with. For example, are you just starting out? What is holding you back, etc? Are you getting to everything you want to do?
One resource that I recently created for myself (while developing some systems to save me time) is a Quick Reference Guide to Stock Image Websites & Their Licensing Rules. I could never remember what each site offered, and what its rules were, so I created this for myself to save me from wasting time having to look things up over and over. It might be something you find handy to refer to also.
I promise to keep you updated on what is going on, and would love to hear how you manage your time.
